Born and raised in El Paso, Texas, Izabella graduated from Eastwood High School in 2019. After high school she spent two years at the University of Texas at Austin, then transferred to Arizona State University Online where she is currently pursuing a degree in Neuroscience. Izabella hopes to finish her bachelors and continue on in her education and attend medical school with the hopesof one day becoming a Pediatrician or an OBGYN.

Izabella is the daughter of Rick and Martha Hernandez, and is the second oldest amongst her siblings Michael and Jordan. As an athlete growing up, this has influenced Izabella and her family to practice living a healthy lifestyle that includes bonding over fun family workouts and always looking for creative ways to stay active. One of her favorite forms of exercise is running and she hopes to soon complete her first half marathon and later endeavor to run a full marathon

before settling down.

As your new Miss El Paso USA Izabella hopes to devote her year giving back to the community and finding new ways to leave lasting impacts that empower young women to persevere and chase after their dreams. Izabella plans to start a podcast about faith and lifestyle that can help young girls navigate through changes and transitions so that they feel empowered to live out their purpose and be proud of how uniquely they were created. As a woman of faith she also hopes to continually be an example to others who pursues all interactions with love, grace, and a relentless desire to serve others.
